Description:
This Grand Cru is located in the commune of Bergheim. It consists of very stony, shallow, fossil-rich red marl-limestone soils. The vineyard is unified and distinctive. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Following fermentation the wines are aged on fine lees for 9 to 11 months. After filtration, the wines are bottled and aged in our cellars for few years before been marketed. Deep, golden colour. Intense nose with notes of roses, lychees and exotic fruits. Full-bodied, structured on the palate, well-balanced, long finish.
Best served between 10 and 12°C. Excellent as an aperitif or with foie gras, strong cheeses, blue cheeses and desserts. An excellent wine to enjoy today or for laying down, over 10 years.
