Description:
Grand Cru Gloeckelberg is located in the Rodern district, on granitic soils. At an altitude of between 250 and 360 m, the vineyard's medium to steep slopes benefit from excellent sun exposure to the south and southeast. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Following controlled temperature fermentation at around 21°-22°, the wines are aged on fine lees for 7 to 9 months. After filtration, the wines are bottled and aged in our cellars for a minimum of 3 years. Deep, brilliant golden colour with Intense dried and candied fruits notes. In the mouth the wine is smooth and structured. Supple on the attack, well-balanced and long finish. Best served between 8 and 10°C. Excellent as an aperitif, with pan-fried foie gras, duck breast with honey, or a dried fruit tagine, cheese and dessert. An excellent wine to enjoy today and for laying down, over 10 years.
